went with a friend today up to a 6000 acre farm about 65 miles north east of where i live he is onley 15 miles from the fram. took the buff classic and my 54 tryon muzzel loader he took his 30/06 browning ss abolt and a 224 weatherby magnum his rouger no 1 45/70.i have not shot a 224 mag before i was very impresed. we spent a good half a day target shooting then we had a fun shoot with the 45/70's he with the no 1 with a 4x scope me with the buff classic with the smith buckhorn lader sight, the buff was the winer even when we swoped rifles.then we stoped for a spot of lunch while we were having lunch we spoted two pigs across the padock about 450 yards away walking to one of the dam's, so we grabed the two 45/70's and made a stalk got to within 150 yards and they spoted us we ran out of cover .they did not run of they just stood looking at us,my friend asked if he could take the shot with the buff clasic of the crosed stick's. he sat and took the rest of the stick's took aim and boom one dead pig.he loves his rouger no 1 but he fell in love with the buff classic he said he is going to order one tuesday and order a .404 lyman globe front and the smith buckhorn lader sight for the rear.an outher h&r convert lol.
