Scope for 375 H&H

I have a 2.5x8 VXIII.   Trying to avoid buying another scope.  Is this to much for the 375.   Would I be better off looking for a 1.5 x 4?    Africa, or Alaska are not in the immediate future.  I just liked the gun.   Thanks,   Curly.

I used a 3-9X Leupold on my 375 H&H Magnum in S. Africa on plains game and was pleased with my choice.  If you intend to use the rifle for dangerous game or at very close range, you might want one with less magnification but for what you intend to use if for, the scope you have sounds like a good choice.
