I know this is off topic, but I just have to say it. Somehow I have never been impressed by those who feel they have some sort of right (and obligation) to espouse their political view(s) whenever and whereever they choose. Perhaps if they could spell...... "IRAK" indeed.

I'm impressed.

Someone has the capabilities to get into another's program and do damage.

I'm impressed with how short-sighted it is. If Matt doesn't build a routine to remove the additions, I will; one by one. My feelings about the issue and the person who did it will be just the same, only deeper. That's about as polite as I can put it.

Our democracy is founded on two (amoung others) fundamental principles - rights and responsibilites. It's obvious this behavior violates these principles.

Yup we got hacked last night. I've fixed what I can but it's still showing on every thread on the site. Matt is going to try to write a program to remove it or we may be able to get a back up from our host that is say 24 hours or so old that we can replace and only lose a few posts but get rid of the war message.

Give us a little time and we'll try to get it back to normal.

In the mean time anyone can edit their own post if they started the thread to remove it. So can moderators on their forums. I'll delete some as I see them today.

Hopefully Matt will find a mass fix soon but until then members and moderators can help by deleting it with an edit.

Thanks Bill for jumping in there and starting the clean up, appreciate it.

Okay Guys here's the plan of action. Everyone take a look at the first page of fthe orum. Open up any post that You started started on the first page. Click on Edit and when the Edit window opens go in and remove the crap from the title line!

Then click on submit at the bottom of the edit window.

If all work on this togethere we can clean this up pretty fast.

We'll let Matt work on the second and other pages. After all that's what Bill pays him the big bucks for, snicker snicker... :-D :-D

Moderators will have to do the locked threads (golf ball mortars, for example) or unlock them for the authors.

The hack could be by the enemy trying to influence policy by influencing the home front.
