Anyone here try one of these, are they any good?

I've seen them on ebay for as low as $49, looks to be a good idea if decent quality.  THANKS!

 I had the full set of ATI stuff on a slug gun. Made a compact package when the butt was pushed in. Recoil wasn't too bad-I had the butt pad-but just didn't look right to me on an H&R/NEF and I went back to wood. Sold the set on the classifieds. Just my opinion. Thanks. Hunman55

Yes, I have one...

The first set of the ATI Shotforce Stock set I had did not stand up to the massive recoil being generated (roughly equivalent to that 416 Rigby, according to the numbers) by the rounds I was using.  The forend tore up around the front lug, and the butt end became loose on its mounting screw.  I made some modifications to "beef-up" the design on mine, but then found out from ATI that there had been some complaints and they were being redesigned and re-released.  They just sent me a new set that I will soon install and see...

These offer me a higher degree of flexibility of use which may not be "aesthetically" correct for some purists but suit me just fine.

I have made a few modifications to my NEF that have enhanced its function to me.  Recently, I purchased a chronograph and am now considering also getting pressure testing gear in order to properly develop some custom rounds I am interested in.  When I have more of the results, I will post details.  In the meantime, I will answer PM's from the less-patient.

Now, in the inmortal words of The Poet (John Lee Hooker)...

Thanks for the response LBB, i'm planning on mounting it with a 16+" .357 barrel (if total length with butt stock compressed is over 26"  fed. law minimum requirement for rifles) for a compact truck gun, i'm hoping the mild recoiling 357 should aid longevity.
