SS G2's are here!
« on: April 11, 2006, 07:36:01 AM »
I just picked up my SS G2. The rubber grip and forend are molded like the wood G2 grip and forend. Fit and finish are first rate. Trigger is typical G2, but not worse. I am most pleased about the grip and forend as I have always preferred that shape vs the Encore.

SN shows it to be one of the first 1500.

Congrats on the Stainless G2!!!!  Tell me about the grip, please! TC doesn't sell the rubber grip yet,but I would like to go with a grip to match my Pachmayr forend. Is it like the rynite grip with a rubber insert, or is it all rubber?

Both the grip and forend are all rubber, no inserts. They look exactly like the walnut versions only in rubber. I have pachmayr's on an old model contender and the new G2 rubber is softer.

You don't have to say the price if you don't want too but are they close to the Blue version in price?
I would think having rubber grip and forend that they should be pretty close.

I'm not shy about the price. It was 318.00 plus tax. I was so happy to have it I would have paid more.

Just so you know, the G2 you have is better than you think.  Our serial numbers that are available for retail sale start at 1100.  They actually start at 1000 but the first 100 are made available to the association and employees.
