What sort of indirect light?  I can't imagine that it would fade unless you leave the blinds open with the sun shining on him.  There really is nothing you can do the reverse the effects.  1) Move it, and prevent further fading.. or 2) Take it to a taxidermist and have him use a replacement cape on it.  He can probably find one very similar in measurements and looks to yours, but it WILL NOT be the same cape.  He will probably charge you his regular price plus 50-70.00 for a replacement cape.

.. So, how bad do you want it?  Spend the 500 bucks, or live with it.  But try not to let it bother you  ;)
