forend pressures affecting groups?

i know on some of the nef single shots if you rest the forend on a rest it can affect grouping.  does this happen with the contender carbine? thanks in advance

I don't know about the contender but my encore does the best with the sandbag near the hinge.  I haven't tried a bipod on it for that reason.
