Looks like tha Anti's are getting through to some companies.
They say it is because of slow sales but we all know this is BS.

Is IS because of slow sales.  Ever tried to get waited on at a Wal-Mart sporting goods counter?  You'll grow old and gray waiting.  Also, having to be escorted out the door with my new gun interferes with my other in-store shopping. Anyway, this is one area where they won't force out local business.  I wonder if they will also discontinue selling ammunition?

I have been a Wal-mart (Sam's ) associate for almost twenty one years..they have always maintained a pro-gun attitude..but have expanded into urban areas that have higher crime and more troublesome customers than when Mr. Sam started Wal-marts in smaller towns(because the larger retailer refused to go there).  I had the great fortune to talk to Mr. Sam on numerious occasions and I know where he stood concerning guns.  I had to ask him about his quail gun..he shot a 20 gauge 1100 Remington, that he bought at Wal-mart!  Used to use a 28 gauge, but said he was as good a shot as he used to be. I believe if one would pay attention to the locations that we not going to sell firearms anymore, they would notice they are in larger metro areas, unfriendly to firearm states and cities.  I believe the smaller town Wal-mart will continue to sell firearms and long as they are profitable..but most of the  profit is from the sell of accessories and ammo for the guns..not the guns themselves..

If it keeps a few people out of Walmart, then they have at least accomplished something.

I'm sorry, I so fail to see the problem here. Wal-Mart is now no longer competing with your local gunstore on low end sales of the most basic guns, accessories, and ammunition that keep the shipping bills paid. ANY, :x  ANYONE actually has the gall to gripe about it! Comeon, you are killing me, do you know, can you imagine how irritating it is when billy joe customer comes to the counter to buy a brick of 22's and complains that it is 1.00 more through me than Wal-Mart, same thing for most basic shot-guns, basic rifles, paper targets, etc. With all the shooters here, all the experience, all the know how, ask everyone else what they think. Me? I like it!
