The Lasermax and/or the Crimson Trace Laser sights have little or no bearing on one's ability to get on target. With either set up the original sights are still in place if you desire. The major advantage to the lases sight is it's effectiveness at night, or in low light situations. In addition, the laser sight does not require you to bring the gun to a normal shooting position and watch the sights. A firearm may be kept at hip level while you have both eyes on the target, you can watch the red dot's placement on the target. It provides for a better field of view and gives an opportunity to evaluate the situation better based on what you see.
Several of my guns are equiped with laser sights, I love them, and firmly beleive they make me a better shooter. Even at my avanced age, I still think I can get on target as quickly, and be more accurate, with the laser sights than most can without them :roll:
