Dunno what to tell you! My 14" shoots factory 120's in an inch(5 shots) with a 2.5-8x leo off sand bags IF I do my part I have NOT found a hand load that will equal that yet. I have about 80 rounds of federal left and a bunch of brass that I keep trying to get better loads with.Tried different weights, powders and even primers. Best hand loads are with 130 grain bullets and 748,WLR primers. They go into 1.2-1.5" groups.

In my load testing for my 15" Bull,  I found 35.5grs of IMR 4895 with the 120gr. Sierra to hold 1/2-3/4" groups at 100 yds. Chronographs just under 2400 fps. This has been the best load I have found so far. I have several bullet/powder combos I will be trying as soon as the weather lets up.

THANKS GUYS FOR YOUR INFO. I REALLY LIKE THIS GUN AND I'VE PUT A 4X32 NcSTAR SCOPE ON IT AND SHOT A BOX OF FEDERAL PREMIUM VITAL SHOK THROUGH IT AT 100 YDS. BIPODS AND BAG GETTING ABOUT 1,5 TO 2 IN GROUP. I THINK RIGHT NOW JUST GETTING USED TO THE GUN HAS A LOT TO DO WITH THAT. OF THE 2 REVIEWS I.VE READ THESE SHELLS HAS CAME IN 2ND TO FPS AND ACCURACY OUT OF THE TEN LOADS THE 2 SHOOTERS SHOT. I'VE ALSO JUST FOUND OUT THAT FEDERAL IS MAKING A RUBBER NOSE BALLASTIC TIP ROUND JUST FOR LEVER ACTIONS. MIGHT BE VERY INTERESTING. THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST FACTORY LOADS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I SHOOT A 7MM MAG AND HAVE NEVER FOUND FACTORIES TO SHOOT LIKE THE LOAD I HAVE WORKED FOR THAT GUN. IF YOU FIND ANY SECERTS PLEASE KEEP ME INFORMED. THANKS AGAIN AND MAY GOD BLESS.

My barrel loves AA-2460.  All book loads I've tried with this powder are close enough in accuracy to the factory loads that I can't tell if it is me or the gun.

I used Federal 30-30 brass (just 'cause that's what I had a bunch of) and a Redding #83230 "form and trim" die.  Before fire forming there will be two shoulders.  Be sure to size them only enough so that they will chamber and no more, otherwise you could get some stretching ahead of the web when you fire form.

Out of 150 rounds, I got a few case splits at the new shoulder location upon fire forming but I was using brass of unknown origin (it was in my reloading stuff when I bought it used).  Looking back, I probably should have used a lighter load and faster powder to fire form, but I was trying to burn up a bunch of 3031 I had on hand and haven't found another use for.  Hope this helps.

I have used once fired 30-30 brass from Winchester, R-P, and Federal, all with good results. I use the same amount of Hornady one-shot that I would for standard full length resizing, and have never had any problems.
I start the forming process with  my sizing die backed out to where it's barely forming the case. Insert the case in your barrel to check how far it protrudes from the chamber. Adjust the sizing die a little at a time until  the casehead protrudes from the chamber around .002" or so. Then close the action to test the shoulder depth. It should close with just a little effort, you shouldn't have to slam it shut. Now the bulge you made in the neck of the case when resizing is tight against the shoulder of the chamber. Now you're ready to load some cases!! I use my standard powder charge to fireform, and have found the fireform loads to be as accurate as using pre-formed brass. Hope this helps!

Thanks Curtis And Madmark for the info. Just ordered a new press ,trimmer already got all new redding dies and case trimmer. Now comes the powder and there is a lot out there. 748 keeps popping up  more than any so far and large rifle primers. This is going to be fun and can't wait to get started with the loads. If you guys    run across any new finds about the powder let me know. The dealer closest to me only carries IMR, Winchester, Accurate and Hodgen.
Thanks again and God Bless

I have had good luck with 748 but it is temperature sensitive. This may not be a problem to you in Va. It is to me in Mn. I use Varget in my 7-30. It shoots well from -30F to 90F.

good luck
