I just purchased a new Buffalo Hunter Classic to participate in SASS shooting. I have to change the factory installed sights out.

I am planning on getting the Smith Buckhorn Sight made for the BHC. My question is what should the front blade height be?

Welcome aboard!! The .404" tall 17A sight is the right height if you can match that with an SASS legal sight. www.BuffaloArms.com is a great place to look, give em a call next week for help, the dovetail is a standard 3/8".

eg heres a pic of my buffalo classic with the .404 17a globe as you can see it is no where near as high as the one that comes with the gun.

I e-mailed the guys at Buffalo Arms. Plus took a pek at thier website I see them getting a few of my hard earned bucks in the future...

I emailed Smithe Enterprises the make of the rear sight I want and they even said to contact the guys at Buffalo Arms...lol

eg i read that the lyman globe is not leagle for the sass shooting if this is true try this sight it will be leagle for the sass shooting.it is the beach front sight. and the hight is right to.you can get it frome track of the wolf part #fs-dp-beach . http://www.trackofthewolf.com/ go to gun parts then scroll down to globe sight's its on the second page.
