If you thought some of our intersections were wierd, you need to watch this.  Seems to be a contagious trend coming around.  Not a nice place to be a pedestrian. Not a nice place to be either.

An intersection in India.

You may have to click the "play" button twice to get it going.

Absolutely amazing!!!    The thing that amazed me the most was there had to have been 100 or more close calls in that short video clip but I did not see any actual contact!   :?

If there was an intersection like that with no traffic lights and that much traffic here in the US there would have been an eight car pile up and 18 dead motorcyclist within that length of time.  :)

The sad fact is that those folks do not drive any better over here. they tend to ignore any rules and believe they can force themselves thru any intersection.
I had a wreck with a lady from there a few years ago after she made a U-turn and crossed three lanes of traffic to get into the drive of a business.
this was on a 55 MPH feeder road.
She cursed me for rear ending her, and was in much pain until the officer began writng her a ticket. Then she was almost arrested for the amount of grief she gave him.
Her insurance company paid me off without a problem.
