Stocks . . .
« on: October 15, 2005, 08:12:33 PM »
Does anyone know if the rimfire stocks are interchangeable with the centerfire ones?  The reason I'm asking is that I have an Ultra Fluted .223--the one with the Choate stock and forend.  I really like that because I can adjust it myself lickity split and I like the grip.

If that's the deal I'll get a rimfire Sportster in LR, then buy a .17HMR barrel and the Choate stock.  Is the .17 Mach 2 worth a barrel?

Thanks, in advance :D

Stocks are inter changeable, fore arms may fit or not,
Depends on barrel size. sporter fore arm will not fit
a bull barrel, only problem I know of.

should fit up just fine i wish H&R would offer more stocks selection in the rimfire guns, with the 17 hmrand mach 2 being classified as varmint rounds now  and the 22mag hey why not give the rimfire varminter and target shooter a little more choice?

For what it's worth a few months ahead of time.

When ever I get the gun all converted and shooting.

Will be having a custom sporter stock of walnut made for it.
To get rid of the boat paddle shape.

Will post then and sell/trade it off as I won't have any use for it.
