Cruelty to Animal Case in Dallas
« on: May 01, 2006, 04:14:19 PM »
Last month some guy poured gasoline on a pit bull dog because he wouldn't breed another dog.  The dog lived for a couple of weeks and was featured on the news.  Dog has died and the guy has been arrested.  News channel just showed where the district attorney's office has received emails from all over the US with people wanting this guy punished to the fullest extent of the law.  Its a misdemeanor here, but the district attorney is now looking to see if the gasoline was a "deadly weapon."  They are pushing for a felony.

Here is what gets me.  All the murders, child rapes, as well as adult rapes, DWI drivers killing people, and the such, never gets this much attention.  Your lucky to see anything on the news about some of this stuff, and believe me, I bet there aren't emails and such sent wanting the person hammered.  GRANTED, WHAT THE GUY DID TO THE DOG IS WRONG AND HE NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED, BUT COME ON PEOPLE, GET A CLUE.  WHERE IS MY BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS.

I agree completely... he's sick, and what he did was disturbing, but there are people who do thinks that are much much sicker to actual humans.
