Author Topic: Used Trail (motor) Bike ? (Read 742 times)

Not sure where to post my question so here goes:
My neighbor/friend (still) is selling a couple of used motor bikes. One is a '94 xr100 honda; the second is a 91 ez-90 cub. (The cub looks like a jet ski with tires) Both of these bikes are in great/excellent shape. Trying to make him an offer that is fair/ but since they're a bit older, I'm not sure where to start. Nothing in my local paper close in age. He has "hinted" around the $2000 dollar range but nothing solid. Trying to be "PC" 'bout the whole deal and maintain a good relationship with my neighbor. What do you all think?

Is about what they cost new back in '94 give or take a little.
I did a quick google on them "asking" price of 2000 year models is $1000 for the xr100.
A '94 -$5-600 for the ez go jet-ski w/wheels couple /three hundred bucks maybe.

12 yrs old is 12 yrs old -shop around there are way better deals.Mike

I concur with Ol Mike. The XR is worth about $1000 if it is real clean. Never heard of the ez-90 Cub but I would not give more than $400 for it and then only if it was real clean.

Thank you both for your replies; objective perspective vs. impuslive splurge always a good thing. Both bikes are clean and in good shape; probably offer 1200 and see what happens :grin: Thanks again guys.

Well I havent done alot of research on that particular year. I have an extra streetbike that I am selling a guy at work and he is adding a 01 xr100 into the trade to speed things up a little and I gave him $600 toward the purchase price now I have looked and I have found that year ranging from $800-$1500 but I assume its fair since hes been paying $100 here and a $100 there I have learned not to finance. However on the xr100 they are great bikes.
