Scope mounts for an Anschutz 1712
« on: May 03, 2006, 12:48:07 PM »
I've just bought a brand new Anschutz 1712 rifle. I'm going to mount my Leupold scope on it. What I want to know is what are the most popular "mount/rings" being used for this rifle? My scope has a 30mm main tube.
Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

You can't go wrong using BKL (one of the advertisers) rings/mounts.  Those folks make a set of spacers (or a single bridge mount) that has  .004" drop from back to front and another that goes .oo7".  If you use these, you won't need to shim your scope and still will keep the scope within the prescribed 1.5" limit above the action.  They are solid and relatively inexpensive.  Hope this helps.
