Central KY food plots?
« on: October 12, 2006, 03:54:55 AM »
I am interested to know if anyone has a planting recomendation of perenials for a shady plot. Plot size is less than an acre and recieves less than 5hrs of sunlight. Being located at the botom of three hills it is always moist but never under standing water. What is best to plant under these conditions? Currently I have some winter wheat, rye, and clover planted there. It does not seem to be comming in very well. Any recommendations for next year?

Thanks, Ryan

Contact the KY Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist in your area.  They will be able to provide you with the information you need and if you are lucky they may even help you out with the seed.
