3 inch or 3 1/2 inch?

im gonna be buying a remington 870 soon and just wondering if you guys think that i should get the 3 1/2 inch model or if the 3 inche would be enough?  probably be mostly upland hunting but also some waterfowl hunting.  which should i get?

Personally I'd get the 3", just don't see the need for more. If your primary use for the gun was waterfowl and you were using steel shot rather than the newer composites it might be worth while to get the 3.5" but it just doesn't offer much except more recoil.

Dont get the 3 1/2, it's a waste and it kicks.  If you want more info/opinions cruise the old threads.  Someone asks this question about once a month.
