New Marlin 1895G
« on: May 07, 2006, 11:23:53 AM »
My wife (I love that woman), surprised me today at Bass Pro Shop and bought me an 1895 Guide Gun in 45/70. I've wanted one for years. I have a Guide Gun in 44 Mag that shoots great, so I have high expectations for this one.
I was thinking about a receiver sight (I have one on the 1894), and was also wondering if there is anything that will help the trigger pull. It's crisp, but a bit too heavy for me.
Any suggestions about the trigger would be appreciated.
Now I just need reloading dies, cases, bullets,..........

Wild West Guns in Alaska makes a replacement and/or spring kit. Haven't tried it but everything I read says it does the trick.
Any law that makes self-defense illegal or impractical is an illegitimate law, and should not be obeyed, because such a law ultimately subjects people to the criminal element.
