77/17 action...

Is it possible to buy just the 77/17 action. Thinking of putting together a sort of bolt together 'custom' rifle, but don't want to have to buy a whole rifle and then rip the stock and barrel off it.

Try a used one at the gun shows.

You could shop around for a used rifle at the gunshows, try to get something where it could be cheap, like the stock is damaged, etc.
