Thanks for bringing this to our attention.  I had missed the original showing of the interview.  I'm as conservative as they come, but I think Allan Colmes' response to this person was one of the best I've ever seen on television.

tryin' to wrap my feeble mind around her arguments... it's obviously satan that is causing this, NOT God.  Does God allow this to happen, yes.  We have free will given by God.  Some exercise this by following satan.  Sometimes, despite our best efforts, satan's minions (dontcha' just love that word?), win a round or two.

I do believe that if this happened at one of my troops funerals or at my kid's funeral, nothing other than force greater than my own would keep me from wading into that group and putting the "cup of the wrath of God to their lips" with an axe handle.  I'd claim temporary insanity and eventually walk free... but dang, I'd feel good...

It all goes back to the formation of this country and the ideals upon which it was founded.  They don't seem to teach this part much any more.  Yes, they do have "Free speech", I won't deny that, in fact I'll defend it.  However, their right to free speech ends at the point it infringes on some one else's rights.

A person's rights only extend as far as they don't hurt anyone else.

If free speech is your "right" any time, any where, for any reason, even if it hurts someone... then my right to beat the crap out of someone who hurt me should be given the same priority.

She really believes in what she is saying and doing.  That "religious" conviction is akin to the dogma which inspirs jihad suicide bombers.  It is nut cases like her, Jim Jones, Jesse Jackson, you name them, that allow us to recognize our own moderate and temporate ideals.  Unfortunately, we sometimes need idiots like Jesse Jackson to remind us that we're in the majority and they are the Lunitic Fringe.

Regardless, we keep the fire of Freedom alight and remember our Honored Dead.  We will never forget or forgive those who spit on the families of our Service men and women.

 Events that are taking place in this country today sound more like a soviet bloc country each day.  It may be time we initiate a real impeachment action, and then see if we can't hire someone that will get this train back on the tracks.  I think a lot of the weird-o congress men/women and senators need to go too.

When we have open borders, let anyone who wishes enter this country unchecked, tap the phones of American citizens, monitor their phone calls, allow illegal immigrants to demonstrate against us while we provide  medical care, welfare and education at taxpayer expense, something is grossly wrong with this picture.

The situation reminds me of a line from an old Merle Haggard song, "we are headed down hill like a snowball headed for hell."  And someone said there is currently a push to have another Bush elected..........

The feds can look at or listen to anything of mine they care to, I'm no threat to our nations security or anything else I should not be. BUT  they aren't trying to invade anyone's privacy or otherwise cross lines of decency.

They're looking for patterns of communication between suspicious parties that might indicate plans for another 9/11...parties usually afforded the same right to privacy (secrecy?) the rest of us, ordinary loyal citizens, enjoy as provided by our free society through our constitution.

These 'suspect parties' might be ordinary enough themselves, like simple immigrants from repressive foreign soils hoping for a chance to enjoy the style of living we've complacently come to take for granted... but they may also be elements of another wave of interlopers planning to strike at our nation and take more innocent lives in their quest for Islamic sainthood, or whatever the Hell they think such atrocities will achieve!

Some of those 'patterns of communication' could involve foreign embassies of less than friendly regimes as well, overtly or under the guise of some "sheep-suited" decoy entity. In the event another plot was hatched or discovered early and pre-empted, the 'Smoking Gun' would be found, evidence of deliberate hostile intention by the foreign power in question... hard undeniable evidence of malice.

I personally have no doubt that such nationalized malice DOES exist, and concrete proof would be very helpful in justifying any retribution our government would exact upon such a rogue state in the global arena.

So, look in my windows all you want... if it helps uncover or prevent EVEN ONE conspiratory endeavor, it's entirely worth it.  :-)

ADDENDUM:
There does exist ONE concern in terms of loss of privacy, etc. due to the "Big Brother is Watching" issue... if a repressive regime takes power after the next elections (Hillary, et al) the internal spy network in place would almost certainly be employed by the powers-that-be to abuse ordinary citizens, directly or as justification for further legislation repressing the rights of US citizens via sensationalistic presentation of the issues involved, like the 'assault weapons ban' a few years ago.  :x

 Hammerspur.  I agree with you somewhat, however my concern is, once authority is given (taken) where does it stop.  If information gathering is restricted soley to that which may have an impact on our security, I can support it.

That said, look back at the use of illegal wiretapping by some of our former presidents.  That is what frightens me.  Will future (even the GWB crew) use this as a method to gain information for improving their political careers.  Can it be used, at will, to spy for other reasons?

We have so many hungry men in Washington, military, congress, senators and in the white house, who will keep them in-check?

As I understand it the current authorization is to monitor overseas calls, and to monitor those phone numbers in the USA that recieve frequent calls from overseas.  I don't have a problem with that, but lets keep it there.

I wouldn't be opposed to the feds placing a tap on the old gal's line in the interview...........

The wire taps are minor, we have far greater problems that are causing a decay to our culture and way of life.
