Got to see a 47 lb. blue cat Tuesday that my greatuncle had caught. My dad, my son and I were putting in below Wilson Dam in northern Alabama on the Tennessee River. My great-uncle was standing on the pier at the launching ramp...when we had started to motor away, he motioned for us to come look in his friend's boat..she almost filled the entire live well.
His friend had left his boat to go home to retrieve a camera. The fish was caught on cut skipjack. She was caught between two boils below the dam. After the picture session, she was released.
We didn't do near as well, only eight cats between 1 and 5 lbs.
