First time I have posted in this section, so this may have been discussed already, but I need some opinions
I am going to buy a 6.5-20 scope for my .338 win. mag. I plan on taking this sheep hunting in a few years and want a scope with the magnification to reach out there if needed.
I have narrowed it down to the Leupold Vari-X III or the Zeiss Conquest.
What do ya'll think? Anyone have experience with both?
I have both, both are first class.
Glass both & take it from there. You will notice the reticles/weight differ,so that might hold the key to the purchase.
Also IMO I would use no more than a 14x scope, but if that's(6.5-20) what turns you on buy it.
I have a Vx111 3.5-10x50 on my 17Rem.Tagging foxes out to 300m,just my 2 cents.
Hope this helps,goodluck.
Tez.
