155 Shikari parts?
« on: September 21, 2006, 03:28:42 PM »
have an older Shikari 45-70 made  in '74 and need a barrel band. Been looking for some time and come up empty handed. Anyone have any ideas??  I really like this rifle, But it just looks "naked" without it. Thanks.

Best source would be Numrich. Brownells.com and MidwayUSA.com both carry generic parts that may work if that doesn't work out. H&R might have plastic barrel bands for the mannlicher stocks, they had a bunch available a year ago. See the NEF/H&R Centerfire FAQ and Help sticky for contact info.

Also, the band from the H&R muzzleloader from the same era is the same and will fit.
