I was wondering if it is typical to expect a long wait for a BC.  I ordered one about a month and a half ago and the dealer said that there no estimate for how long it will take.  Is it worth the wait?  Anybody have any results good or bad?  How is the wood?

glshop20.
I think it depends on where you live and who the jobber is. I waited quite awhile for mine to arrive. Gave up and finally located one about 250 mile away. They are worth the wait. Wood on some is great others so-so. Mine is so-so. Sure shoots good though. Mine was acurate right out of the box.
I have added the Smith ladder sight and added a few more front sight inserts. Am shooting out to 400 yards now. Some of the others are out to  five and six hundred yards with great accuracy. lovedogs and dodd3 will probably jump in later and tell you to wait it out.

I waited just a few days for my first one, the second one I bought over the counter at Sportsmans Warehouse, they normally have them in stock and priced at $300 ain't too shabby! There was one in the classifieds here not long ago, it may still be there.

From: glshop20,  Thanks for the quick replies.  Patience is not one of my strong points but since you give it good reviews I will stick it out and also start to look elsewhere.  Unfortunately I live in the (Great HA-HA State of NJ) where everything is a problem unless you're a criminal.  I got a New England Firearms Sportster in .17HMR and it shoots great. I expect the BC will be good also. The wait will probably be worth it.
