Dust covers for guns
« on: July 17, 2006, 04:32:12 AM »
How many of you cowboys and cowgirls have dust covers for your guns?  Did you make your own?

The reason I ask is that since I was "off" (read schoolteacher) for the summer (June & July), and after all the dust at EOT, I decided to make some gun dust covers.  Laz and I have some plain ones, but I started adding little touches like colored seam bias tape to make them a little fancier.  Ended up make over 40 covers and have given away almost all of them.

Just wondered whether I should consider making these to order, but with in-services and school starting soon, that is a moot point now.

Well, I know that Win. '73's had dust covers, but if you forgot to slide it back from the ejection port you wound up with a jammed gun!
OK, I know that's not what you're referring to, 'just had to jerk your chain.
