got a 30 herrett 15inch long made buy t.c custom shop..the reload data says the overall case lenght is 2.320 win i' reload it this way the barrel copper fouls.. shot some sunday at 2.350 did not copper foul then..just tryed one at 2.420 with no powder in the case and action closed like it does at 2.320.. might have a long chamber??? will it hurt the gun shot these case this long???  :D thanks WORM

No matter the caliber, with a T/C, you can load them as long as your action will close. Just work up the data each time you change the OAL as pressure can and will change, often very quickly.

gunoil,

I don't know that this is pertinent to your situation, but the .30 Herrett needs to be fire formed to your chamber, and resized so that the case headspaces on the shoulder, rather than the rim.  Set your sizing die so that a slight resistance is felt when closing the action.  Accuracy, and pressure should stabilize when the case is sized this way!

been shoting this over the last few days.. the longer the case lenght better it has shot.. the powder is h4227 and 130 gr sp tryed some win 296 the primers stated to flaten... pulled the rest of these will try h4227 125gr barnes at 2.400 ..thanks WORM :D
