Hi All, I have been debateing on getting a Metal Detector and have done aliitle research but, Always willing to listen to other thoughts and ideas. Type and cost of 1st dectector? Headphones or not? As I live in the midwest..no saltwater beaches or gold fields..(that I know of) so is one brand or stlye of dectector better for this area? Just posted this to help keep the forum going and hopefully get some ideas and maybe someone else might benifit from it also...

Headphones are great. Saves battery juice. I bought a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II earlier this year and found a 1901-O silver dollar and a bunch of meteorites. Still looking for that gold nugget.
