ATV usage in North Carolina?

Hey guys,

I am moving to Goldsboro, NC this summer and as usual with moves I am in the process of "purging" un-needed stuff...My question is, how are the regulations with ATV usage on public land in NC? I am not much of a trail rider, and use it for hunting. Is their use restricted to private land and "designated riding trails"? Just dont want to haul something that will just gather dust..

I am not familiar with the NC ATV regulations, but I bet you could find them easily enough on the web..Sorry.
