Which Chronograph

I am finally going to get a chronograph and need help decided which to get.  I have around $250 to spend and want to get the best for the money.  I like the Chrony Gamma Master with the printer and all the accessories and also the PACT Professional XP.  

If you have either or have been around either please let me know what you think about them.  I could go either way on this just need to know what the best is for the money.

I have two Chrony F-1's and a Gamma Master.  I have no complaints with any of them.

Of the two that you mention the Pact unit is the better choice in my opinion. I have an older Pact (and one of the big "O"s) It has never given me any problems - with the exception of a battery that I killed. I have had no problems since I replaced the battery and I make sure that I cycle it as I am supposed to. Even with the dead battery I could still use it with the 110 volt charger so it was never down.

I have the pact xp. It works fine for me, but I have no other to compare it to. You can down load a program from there web site and feed your results from shooting into your pc for getting a better handle on the days shooting. The down side is not usb compatible, they should make a cable available for usb attachment. I have to use my wifes older pc. They do have a excellent customer service dept. I also own the pact scale and powder dispenser, which lead me the buy the XP.

I have a CED millenium Chronograph with the IR illuminator option and have never had an error or false reading that I can recall.  It replaced a Chrony that I bought as a factory rebuild.  That thing was a constant pain with errors or no reading at all.

Ended up getting the PACT

I was at Cabela's tonight and they had a PACT unit on hand so I picked it up.  I decided to go with PACT because I like some of the other information they are supposed to provide.  I will hopefully be at the range this weekend and have some info on my new Encore barrel and some of the other loads I have worked up in the past for other firearms.

Can't believe it took me this long to get a Chronograph... :eek:

The above mentioned CED http://www.cedhk.com/show.php/Object29 was independently tested as the most accurate consumer chrono.
It slightly edged out the Ohler 35 (temporarily unavailable).

I use one and am very happy with it.
