Because of all the great information available on this forum I,
#1 purchased a handi ultra in 223
#2 put a BARSKA 6.5-20 X50MM scope on it
#3 Got some WW white box 45 grn hollowpoints at Sports authority
#4slipped a rubber o ring around the barrel lug ,  and
#5 was shooting 3/4 inch groups at 100 yds by the end of my range session yesterday, and having a hell of a lot of fun doing it.
  Thanks Guys, you did good.

Glad to hear you are having fun with your new .223 Handi FLNT4EVR. It appears to me you may be headed down that slippery slope, or could it be that climb to happiness and fun, of becoming a "Handiholic" and aquiring a few more of these fine little guns. I can surely see a nice NEF/H&R shotgun in your future. Just wait until the time you bring that "cheap little single shot" to the range and outshoot the guy next to you with his $1,000 to $1,500 target gun!!! That makes for a fun filled day, especially if he looks at you and smiles or laughs when you set up next to him with your "cheap little beginners gun"....<><....

Welcome flnt4eve, been there, done that  and bought the T shirt. I got 9 now. Still love my .223. THe range is always fun, ground hog hunting is super fun.  I didn't learn as fast as you did, I used 18 to 24 power at 100 yards got 1.5 -- 2 inch groups, got mad. Went down to 14 power and groups went to 1 inch and less. The folks on this site are good people, good authorities and helped me get my handies tuned up. Just started shooting my .204 cal, ( $122.00 for the barrel ) another fine varmit rifle at a good price. Hope you enjoy your new .223 and welcome aboqard.

Yes.  It appears I,ve been bitten by the Handi Bug. I,ve always had a love for single shot rifles ,and am a firm believer in doing my best to make sure that 1 is all thats needed. Thats why I began hunting with flintlocks.  But these Handies.........someday I may have to change my name.

Glad it worked out for you.  Im a new Handi owner as well.....and we almost bought the exact same setup.

Ive had mine for about a week and still havent got to shoot it yet.

I got the standard .223 bull barrell
put a Barska 6.5-20x50 scope on it
will be shooting Lake City and some Federal Tactical .223 (free from work)
havent bothered with the o-ring yet, some say may not be needed

I was shooting groups of about 1 1/2 inches at first.Tried the o ring and groups immediately shrunk to 3/4 . Thats plenty good enough for me. But I was realy impressed with the WW 45 grn hollowpoints. they are super accurate and shoot tighter groups than any of the  6 other brands I tried.
