The long wait begins.

Sent my 223 Survivor in today to get a 357 barrel.  Bad timing with groundhog season opening it 2 days.  When it gets back going to get it chopped to 17" for hunting coyote and deer in the thick stuff.  I'll have to get my Savage 17 HMR out for groundhog hunting or I could take my Britt pup and kill them with a rock.  Every time I take her for a run she ends up treeing a groundhog, didn't even know the things could climb.

Matt

I hope luck is on your side.  Someone said on here the other day that they didn't have any .357's at the moment.
If you get one, you will love it.  If not, they will run more soon.

I called customer service today and they said they had them in stock and gave me the product number.    I'm going to be pissed if they are out of stock and I was given the wrong information.  I'm really not interested in any other caliber as the 357 was one of the main reasons I purchased the Handi.

Two weeks ago I sent in the receiver of my .357 Handi to have a .50 caliber muzzleloader barrel fitted.  It would be nice to get it back in time for my birthday the 21st of this month, but I am not holding my breath.

I am anxious to get my hands on it.  Over 30 years ago I had a .45 caliber H & R Huntsman.  The only thing I killed with it was a squirrel.  Blew its head clean off.

I also have a .223 Handi.  Somewhat unusual, the barrel on my .357 is heavier and longer than the .223.

Got my Handi back a few days ago with my new 357 barrel.  I was pleased they did have the barrel available and I got the gun returned in less then a month.  Now it's off to my smith to get the barrel chopped to 16.5".  With the survivor stock it's going to be a sweet brush gun.
