new dumb question: opinions on Ruger #1 for High Wall trade?

As I asked about opinions on whether a trade for a Sharps was worthwhile, I got to thinking: what about trading the ruger #1 for an 1885 High Wall in .45-70? Is it more likely to happen? Would it be worthwhile (again, assuming I could find such a trade)? I'm just realizing that I can't really do much that I would like to with my .308 right now, and would probably have more fun with a BPCR.

 The only High Wall repro that is down near the Ruger #1 in price is a used Taylor & Co. version. All the others will be the same thing as the 1874 deal, higher, and nobody to trade with.
 Not sure if you will find a used Taylor High Wall and someone willing to trade, but it's more possible. Not sure if you do find someone that it will be a better gun than your Ruger #1? But if you're dead set on buying a BPCR, why not sell the Ruger #1 and start saving, or reverse. Start saving, and sell the #1 when you get some cash saved?

Consider the issue of timing.

If you are really willing to sell the #1, put it up ASAP.  Get an early start on the fall season.

Then keep your eyes open for a deal in the high wall.

You could also look around the house for things that you nolonger use and eBay them too!
