memerable hunts, when it comes together

l Hope this is a forum were a story can be told.
This one happened three seasons ago. While the bird I got was nothing special  . The hunt stands out as one of my best. I was with my buddy, who is a dandy fine bird caller. We pulled in, parked and walked back to a hedge row to start calling. The hedge row was an old fence thicky covered in berry vines a short curved section about 40 yards long with a gap at each end is were we set up. Well shortly after stating to call we got numerus replys. They all came in on us. Only they did not do what we were hoping for,and come around one of the corners. they came straght to the other side of the hedge. 20 feet away gobbleing like crazzy, a flock of turkeys.  So we  moved to one end of the hedge on our side and called again. Again the group of gobbleing turkeys moved just to the other side of the hedge but would not go near the gap. Off we go to the other end of the hedge. Back and forth about three times. This ain't working. So next time we leave them at one end we go beyond the gap, and get into a clump of brush. About 20 yards in from the gap and a few yards beyond it. We call again. This time they come into view. It is my turn to shoot. I drew a bead on the lead bird , and said to my buddy, " I have lead bird " we have been practicing a 1,2,3Shoot in his back yard with our bows. then I said, "you do the count when you have a differnt bird in your sight" then i waited for what seemed like forever. Probaly less than a minute. Then I heard my buddy say"ok,1,2,3BLAM" 2 shots sounded like one. 2 out of 7 nice jakes fell, the rest looked around for a while before they left.  My buddy and I went out to get our birds. let me tell you waiting for my budy to start counting was a real hard thing to do. But this stands out as one of the best turkey hunts I have been on.
OK Now it's your turn . whats one of your more memerable turkey hunts?     D.C. Don
