In a previous post you mentioned a very sharp Javalina knife. I also have one in a 6" model called a Coyote. It is as sharp as a straight razor!! My question is have you used this knife and if so on what, and what was the task. Does it keep its edge? D2 is a wonderful steel! I have a Koa handle and it is beautiful but I feel I need to use it, not much on collecting. Thanks Bob

Sir, did I get the knife wrong? I thought you had one of the Javelina knives with a speacial handle from Africa? Maybe I was confused. You always answer the posts so I thought I might be confused? Buckfever

I do typically answer posts when I see them here but I'm not at this site every day and I was in Africa hunting the last 6.5 weeks so my attention here has been a bit limited.

I have Javilina Knives and they are made with White Rhino bone handles. As a matter of interesting fact in this regard the owner of javilina knives was with me in June hunting Rhino with his son!

He shot a real dandy bull too!

Mike told me all about his trip to SA with you. Sounded like a lot of fun, the pics were great. I hope to be able to expense for your plains game hunt in 2008. Mike also just finished a knife for me, reckon I'll have him do another one too!...Hehe. Sure are nice. Heres mine below:

I brought him back quite a bit of Giraffe bone last year, glad to see it getting some use the way I intended it to!

He sure has a good kid, should be very proud of that young guys shooting skills. Mike has done a great job getting that young man Dialed into being a very good hunter and marksman.

Good people over at that household, that's for sure. Anyways, have a great night - and I hope to see you some time in 08... Bought a M70 .375 Safari Express for that reason alone :-D Would be nice to get out to the range with it and start practicing now.
