Breaking in a new barrel (.358 BLR)
« on: July 30, 2006, 05:03:03 AM »
Good morning/afternoon/evening all!

In case some of you missed the lever gun forums, I just came home with a new BLR .358 win yesterday.  Of course, my local gun shop has no ammo available.... so I ordered 5 boxes from cpcartridge.com last night (2 x 200 gr Barnes XFB, 2 x 225 gr Nosler Partition, 1 x 250 gr Swift A-Frame).  What is the correct way to "break in" a new barrel, this is my first "new" gun, all of my others have had previoius owners.  Thanks in advance for your advice, and thank you for all of your helpful posts.  Your data caused me to fall in love with this caliber that I had previously not heard of!
