Grimjim,
The Winchester Centennial '66 rifle was made in 1966 to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the Winchester brand.  Although made for only one year, they made a LOT of them and value is not up there with some other commemoratrives.

They did indeed make alot of them, I got one last summer in new/unfired condition with the box and sleeve, (sleeves a little ratty), off a local guy for 300$.  I checked them out on Gunbroker, and found a few selling for 600-700$.  I understand since their closing, Winchesters seem to be selling for ridiculous amounts currently.  If he's thinking of unloading it, now might be the best time ever.

I have one also.  They came in rifle and carbine.  Mine is the rifle.
