Any one use Winchester Partition Gold or Remingtons Ultra Bonded Sabot Slugs ?

I have a Remington 11-87 20 ga. that I'm going to set up for deer hunting for next season. I'm getting a 21 inch fully rifled barrel with the cantilever scope mount on it. My question is has anyone used Winchester Partition Gold (2 3/4" or 3") or Remingtons Ultra Bonded (2 3/4") Sabot Slugs? I'm hoping to uses either of these three slugs. A few of my friends use the 2 3/4" Winchester Partition Gold slugs in their 12 ga. and absolutely love them. I don't know anyone that's used the Remington Ultra Bonded slugs. Just looking for all the feed back I can get, 20 and 12 ga. Thanks!

Buy Winchester PG and don't look back.  These are awesome.  High quality.  Speedy.  Took one at 125 yards last year with 12 g 385 grain PG.

my son uses the Partition Gold slugs in his Ultra Slug.  2 in groups or less at 100 yds.  His deer this year was taken at between  150 yds. 175 yds.  Last year he took one at 150yds and it also dropped in its tracks.

The Partition Golds in 2 3/4" 12ga have racked up a loooong list of one-shot bang-flops for me in recent years.  In both my H&R Ultra Slug and my Savage 210 they will group into 2'' @ 100 yards, sometimes better.

The 3" version isn't doing quite as well in either gun, and the recoil is noticeably higher.

The Remingtons also fail to match the Winchesters for accurace in my two guns, but I have friends who find them better in their guns.  There's another post on this site commenting on the better performance of the new technology Remingtons vs. the older Winchesters.  I guess the answer is the same as it always is...try them for yourself to determine the best choice for you.  None of them are bad, and they're all so much better than slugs and slug guns of 10 years ago that there's probably no bad choice.

NY Hunter, in 20 ga. we have used both here in our Wis. shotgun only area. These were shot out of NEF Tracker II's with scopes. I liked both of them and am now trying the 3" Partition Golds. My son has his shotgun sighted with the Rem's and has had success as well. I can say that I would'nt feel undergunned with either offering........
