i bought an encore rifle today and it does something my contenders never did .when the trigger is pulled and the trigger is released the hammer moves back to the half cock position and it makes another clicking noise.is this normal or is there something wrong with this gun.any thoughts or responses would be greatly appreciated..jim :oops:

Normal for Encores and G2's.   The upside is you don't have to break the action to reset the trigger.   Just cock the hammer again and you're ready to go.  The down side is the lack of adjustment.   The pull can be improved but it is not as easy as the old Contender setup.
