stock duplicator
« on: June 26, 2006, 06:03:29 AM »
Has anyone ever tried to build a stock duplicator?  I have been knocking it around, think I have a decent design, but thought maybe someone could tell me some of the little things that only doing it will bring out.

I would love to be able to make a handi stock in some exotics and wild laminates.

Thanks

I have toyed with the idea as well. I have an old Crossman Airgun walnut stock that has an awesome grain to it and fits to the hand excellent. Only problem is cutting it down to size, and drilling a long straight hole for the buttstock screw...and keeping it straight. My drill press won't go that deep
But yes I would love to see more offerings in the stock dept.
