Anybody have data on using the 140gr. triple shock with Reloader 22?  (Haven't yet picked up a Barnes load manual).

Last year my son hunted elk here in Arizona. I wanted to load his 270 win with triple shock bullets so I E-mailed Barnes and they sent back copies of all of thier loads for 270 win.. I am sure that they would do the same for you. They want you to use thier bullets! Be carefull I think that thier top loads are very hot. I was unable to use thier top loads in the 270win as well as my 300 H&H mag.
Happy hunting

Thanks, Elwood!  I didn't know that service was available.  I'll try that!  (Thanks for the warning about hot loads, too!)

I reload for my .270 WBY, and although I never had any luck with Barnes in the past, The new coated triple shock bullets are intriguing.  As far as I know, Barnes is also the only bullet or powder manufacturer to produce any new data for the .270 WBY in the last ten years.  If your going to use thier bullets, it would be well worth buying thier manual.

loading for the barnes bullets is a little differnt then loading other bullets. They will send you a cd upon your request for loading their bullets.they have no data as yet in their manuals fopr the triple shocks.you use the data in the manual for the same grain and caliber bullet.and max is not max for the triple shocks.you can go I believe three grains higher for them as they have less bearing surface. One of the mistakes folks make when loading the barnes bullets is they load them like others, close to the lands and grooves.barnes say's no keep them further back from the lands and grooves...
my huntin rifle is safe from confiscation only while my battle rifle protects it.
