National Education Association Set to Endorse Homosexual Marriage

Teacher's union begins plans to promote homosexual marriage in public schools

The National Education Association is set to endorse homosexual marriage at their convention coming up in Orlando June 29 through July 6.

The new NEA proposal essentially says schools should support and actively promote homosexual marriage and other forms of marriage (two men and one woman, three women, two women and three men, etc.) in their local schools.

The new proposal, expected to pass overwhelmingly, is found under the B-8 Diversity paragraph:

The Association... believes in the importance of observances, programs and curricula that accurately portray and recognize the roles, contributions, cultures, and history of these diverse groups and individuals.

The Association believes that legal rights and responsibilities with regard to medical decisions, taxes, inheritance, adoption, legal immigration, domestic partnerships, and civil unions and/or marriage belong to all these diverse groups and individuals.

Translated, that means the NEA will promote homosexual marriage in every avenue they have available, including textbooks, to all children at all age levels and without the permission or knowledge of parents. Their plans will include every public school in America.

Don't you just love Unions and union lobbyists? They just can't keep their eye on the ball. This has nothing to do with education, or teachers! I wish to God that Congress would pass a law that says a labor union can't use dues and contributions for anything except arbitration, legal fees, contract fees, employment assistance, and the administration thereof.

What do you expect the education system is full of liberals. That is why we have such a crappy school system today!  :x For every kid that does learn there are about 10 that are damn near illiterate. Or learns a bunch of crap that will not help them later on anyway. This started in the 60's and has been getting worse every year since! The Teachers union is one of the biggest liberal groups around! They got Doyle elected Gov in WI because he promised them tons of money for education in WI. First thing he did was limit funds for libraries in WI. Does not matter if the common guy wants a good PUBLIC library, just as long as he filled his promises to the teachers union.  :x  :x  :x

I think that old chucky there is getting chicken little syndrome against Bush just because Rove is light in the loafers does not mean Bush has a group of them around him. Some of the other accusations I never heard of. A lot of the Christian right feel let down by Bush because they figured he would help get rid of Roe VS Wade and other issues.
I think so far he has done a decent job under hard circumstances. A heck of a lot better than his opponent Kerry would have done.

:D jh45gun.  I am not pushing Kerry and the dumbocraps, but truthfully what has Bush done for this country?  I view his term as prez like his term as gov, he did little or nothing for the good of Texas, and I don't really see a lot he has done for America except help line his and his oil friend's pockets.

I was not a fan of Clinton, but lets face the truth, this country was in much better shape when he left office than it is currently.  With the exception of a few die hard republicans, the majority of the folks here in Texas agree with me.

It is time for a change, a man (or woman) that truly has the interest of America at heart, not one who has a personal agenda and desire to increase his personal wealth.  Is there one out there?

Rockbilly, I can't argue that we have problems.  But a huge portion of those resulted from a group called Al Queda (or however that's spelled), not from Bush.  As far as being much better off when Clinton left office, I recall the country heading into a recession during his last year in office.  Bush inherited a recession and a terrorist problem that manifested itself just seven months into his first term.  Despite the huge blows to the economy from the airlines nearly going under (from 9-11) and the Clinton recession, the country is now experiencing pretty good growth and a stock market that is almost 50% higher than its post 9-11 lows.  That and a much lower tax bill than we had under Clinton, and certainly would have had under Kerry.

The NEA is one of the largest contributers to the DNC. Why would anyone expect common sense from these idiots. Educators? Idiots? Now what did you think the cause of our failing education system was? The kids? The NEA is socialistic in their thinking and believe nobody, that doesn't share their ideology, can have a worthwhile thought or idea. Socialists believe they should do your thinking for you. Remember Hillery's "it takes a village to raise a child" mantra. Well, NOT MINE THANK YOU!!!!! The wife and I did real well without socialism guiding our thoughts.

If we're going to fix the education system the first step should be to outlaw the NEA's existance.

Casull,
You nailed it right there!  As for the NEA and our education system in general - well it just sucks!  Now more than ever, parents have to be extremely involved with their kids and what they are exposed to at school.  I still believe in public education, lord knows we're paying for it, but we've let political correctness run rampant to the point we can't function anymore!
