Thanks Tucker.
I may have explained a bit in a previous post. This was my first FA and I only acquired my 2nd last weekend
.
My 353 is a 6" Premier Grade, factory trigger job and trigger stop, target crown and 2 factory Magnaports.
Other factory options installed include all those that come standard with FA - like great lockup, almost no cylinder/barrel gap, kick-butt accuracy and owner satisfaction
.
According to FA it was made in the 80's some time (they did tell me, but I don't recall exactly when) and shipped to a shop in Texas. I'm not sure how it made its way to South Africa.
When I was in the US last year I picked up a Leupold mount from FA. That's a 4X Leupold M8 EER from the early 1990's, but I had hardly used it before mounting it on the 353.
I vented in a post yesterday... so a very brief explanantion. I took the pics to accompany my firearm licence renewals application. I have a Colt King Cobra (6" Blue) and need to justify owning two .357 Mags (amongst a pile of other things to justify). I was trying to show how long the cylinder is compared to "standard" .357's and how far out I can seat those 180gr XTP's compared to "standard" ammo (those are 125 gr Sierra JHP's). Basically explaining that a FA mod. 83 .357 isn't really a .357 at all!
