Is it possible to trim down a full-size synthetic MC stock to reduce length of pull?

Or, does the synthetic youth stock on the handi-rifle have enough height such that a decent cheek weld on the stock is possible for a normal 40mm scope?

Thanks, Chris

I think the youth stock would be the best way to go, I have a TDC walnut youth stock on a scoped BC, height is fine for my cheek weld. That doesn't mean it would fit everyone tho, I've checked several of my H&R stocks, they don't all have the same comb height, even comparing pallet wood stocks of different years they differ in height.

Shortening a full size MC syn  stock would mean having to change the recoil pad to fit the smaller butt, but I'm sure it could be done, I just checked one, the ribs for the recoil pad mounting screws are full length on the inside of the stock, you'd just have to drill them out for the wood screws.

I went to check out the stocks today.  I think you are right, the youth wood MC stock seems just right.  Although they didn't have a MC synthetic, cutting off a standard MC wood stock would not be the same as the youth MC wood stock.

Thanks, Chris

Yup, Brownell's and Numrich carry em as well as Choate Machine who makes the syn stocks for H&R. Gunstocks Inc also makes stocks for em.
