I would try GunBroker.com. IIRC H&R 999 go for anywhere to a low of $150.00 on up to $250.00 They are a neat as a woods loafing/kit gun. I have one of the economy models, the 622, with a 2 1/2" barrel. It is a very good woods gun/plinker and its accuracy belies the fact that it is a "snubnose" revolver.

I haven't priced them lately, but the suggestion to try Gunbroker is a good one.  I have a old 6" one that I paid $125. for.  I would still think you could get one for $150 if anyone is wanting to sell one.  That seems to be the problem.  Once you have one of these things, you don't want to let it go!  I love single action handguns, but my 999 is the one lying on top for easy access when I need a .22 quickly.  It's the 'go to' gun to get all the jobs done from gophers to feral cats in the back yard.  I have 4 speedloaders ready to go.  It's very accurate with almost any .22's but it really likes Remington Goldens.  It has a single action pull equall to any factory target revolver out there and I can also shoot it well double action.  I used to take it to bowling pin matches all the time and we never had to hang our heads against the hotshots with the semi-autos.  I hope you find one, mine will never be for sale.  44 Man
