Hello folks, my first post here. I've always wanted to build a cannon project and after finding this site have got the "bug" to do it. I want to start with a Coehorn golf ball mortar and then a beer can. I will be spending some hours reading old posts to learn all I can and will be needing some advise, I'm sure.
I have a machine shop and will make everything from scratch. Just wanted to say hello.

Welcome Michael, glad to have ya! Be sure to take a tour around the board and see what he have.  Suggest you start with the Sticky's at the top of the board, there is a lot of info up there to help you get started.

Welcome Michael,
Be sure that the metal you choose for your projects is suited for that purpose.

It seems my last reply from yesterday was lost in the change over so I will redo it.
Thanks for the welcome fellows. Haven't figured out how to do the new "Quotes" yet.
I will study the stickys above and learn all I can.
Yes, I live in Safford, Az. where are you located Steve?
For sure I will use the proper steels. I do not want to get hurt!
Thanks again fellows
Michael
