7mmTCU Die question.....

I got a 7mmTCU and dies in a trade and was wondering if its possible to neck size brass with a FL sizing die or will I have to buy a neck size only die? If Im thinking right here...I should be able to adjust the die down to where it only sizes the neck, right? Or am I off track here?

Your on the right track. It may still squeeze the body a little but keep it off the shoulder and you should be alright. Chamber check your brass before you finish loading to be sure it chambers OK.  KN

Ok thanks KN....I thought I was thinkin right but wasnt sure. Been a while since Ive done any handloading and was thinking I had done this with a .223 I once had. Thanks again.

You want to partial resize 7 TCU anyway. Set the die so the case just drops in flush with the back of the barrel with the extractor removed. That way it'll always close and fire properly. That one can be tricky if you don't size it enough and it ends up with insufficient headspace. Really frustrating during a match!

Iguess one good thing is that I dont plan on doing any match shooting...unfortunately theres no such thing in my area and i couldnt afford it anyway probably, so I will have plenty of time to get everything adjusted just right...thanks for the info fellas...its appreciated.
