I heard that when they move up to an orange statise that we can't shoot for the fun of it. Any truth to that?

The country has been under code orange for a couple of weeks now, New York and Washington D.C. have been at code orange a couple of times in the past and that's the first I've ever heard of that.

Is this some local thing perhaps?

Please don't give the gun-grabbers any ideas.

I saw this on an other forum. Let me try and remember where. I'll get back to you as soon as I find it and get a response from the poster.

This was the only thing I could find in the thread you indicated that seemed related:

Quote
COndition Orange! wont be shooting personal "fun" firearms for a while anyway.

This, I think, might refer to the fact that the author is perhaps a police officer, military or some other kind of first responder who would be called who to work added shifts, etc.

Or maybe it is a joke that he thinks he will be shooting "serious" firearms because of the code orange.

In any case, the Homeland Security Office codes are binding on the Federal  government and suggested states for local governments.

Again, please don't give the gun-grabbers ideas. In Maryland, the deer hunting season was suspended because of the D.C. sniper. Air heads were calling the police because there were people in camo in the woods! Mercy!  These were, by the way, bow hunters.
