Radial Tires?

Markc,

Those Terracross tires look to be pretty good tires.  But were they not developed for the RUV (side by side) market, and to compete with the popular Big Horn's.  They look to me like they would be a little on the heavy side for all but the big bore ATV's.

Radial tires are becomming very popular on the ATV scene.  The prices are starting to come down now due to competition.  I have studied them all, and will probably go to a radial when mine wear out.  My problem is I have a Rancher with the dreaded 11in rear wheels.  If I buy a radial, I'll also have to buy wheels, adding to the cost considerably.  If finances will allow, I think I'll go with the Holeshot radial.  I don't ride much mud.  If pennies are tight, probably go with Bear Claws.

On a second subject, this forum doesn't get a lot of traffic.  We need to start some discussion's, good, bad, or slightly ugly just to liven up the place.

Side by Side Tires

Looking at this press release from ITP it looks like they had side by side vehicles in mind with the Terracross tires.  Initially I didn't realize that they were radials, I just thought they looked good on a Rhino I saw pic's of.   I like the bear claws too.   Yes, this forum has been dragging a bit for a while.  I try to find some things to talk about, but alot of diehard atv's guys frequent web sites dedicated to atv's and as a result don't read or post here very often..

I hear what you're saying about the diehard atv fans.  I'm medically retired, so I get to spend a lot of time reading about the things I like.  I visit 3 gun forums, and about 7 different ATV sites on a daily basis.

On this particular site, there is only 4 forums I follow, Dan Wesson, Marlin levers, lever action rifles, and this one.  Guess where my interest lies?

Haven't seen it posted here, but there is one site I just started following.  It's about a guy who is attempting to ride an Artic Cat atv from Oregon to Maine.  He has a transponder attached to his bike so you can follow him, and gives updates of his progress every couple days or so.  Pretty neat stuff.  You can follow along at "www.atvwithjim.com".

I wonder about that cup design on those new ITP tires..

I just got a new machine, and I'm running radials on it, to respond to your question. I've been using radials for three years now on various machines.
