Water still a little cool.....
« on: April 21, 2003, 03:05:20 AM »
My Good Friday trip wast that - Good. Fished for about 2 hours and only boated a handful of white crappie that went 6-8". Dropped the Aquaview to check-out some underwater structure and... WOW!! I found the crappie actually moved to deeper water (17-20 ft.) They were in the treetops at 10-15 feet a week ago. Water temp. is optimal at 55 degrees here, Friday and Sat. it was only at 50 degrees. Anyway, I changed the bobber stops to 17 feet and dropped a few fatheads. Came home with a dozen, for dinner, the smallest being 10", the largest 12.25"....now, if the water would only come-up 5 more degrees.......

Same here in NE Oklahoma. If ya get out at the right time in the afternoon on a sunny day, ya can get a mess, but the water temp is a bit cool now. They like it between 60 and 65 here, and it was 59 on Friday. The crappie were out about 20 feet deep.

It's gonna bust loose any day now.
Hey, hold my beer and watch this.
